A suspension inquiry letter is an Office action inquiring as to the status of the basis of an application’s suspension. An examiner issues a suspension inquiry letter after an application has been suspended for 6 months or more, unless the information is available to the examining attorney in the Office’s databases. The application will be abandoned if the applicant does not respond to the suspension inquiry letter.
