A drawing of a mark is required in every trademark application. A drawing is defined as the representation of a mark as used on or in connection with the goods. The two types of drawings commonly used in trademark applications are:

  1. typed drawings – always with all-capital letters; and
  2. computer – generated drawings which show the mark as it appears on a specimen, or show the mark in some stylized form or design.
