An Amendment to Allege Use is the applicant’s (or authorized representative’s) signed sworn statement attesting to use of the mark in commerce. The applicant must also submit one specimen of actual use of the mark in commerce for each class of goods/services included in the application. AAUs must be filed before the date the examining attorney approves the mark for publication in the Official Gazette.
