Unity of invention refers to the requirement that International and national stage patent applications must relate to only one invention, or to a group of inventions linked to form a single general inventive concept. The term “special technical features” refers to those technical features that define a contribution which each of the claimed inventions, considered as a whole, makes over the prior art.
