Concealment refers to the applicant’s intentional or accidental failure to adequately describe the best means of effectuating his/her claimed invention. Only concealment evidence is considered when determining the validity of a best mode disclosure. If the evidence tends to show that an applicant’s best mode disclosure description lacks the necessary precision, it is deemed to be concealed, thereby precluding issuance of a patent.
