Copyright ownership may be transferred like any other property by using instruments such as:
- An assignment,
- mortgage,
- exclusive license, or
- any other conveyance, alienation, or hypothecation of a copyright or
- any other of the exclusive rights comprised in the copyright, whether or not it is limited in time or place of affect, but not including nonexclusive license.
